🎯 Strategy & Preparation Tips (Before & On Exam Day)
Here is a strategic plan to maximize your score and chances of clearing each stage.
✅ Prelims Strategy (100 questions, 60 minutes)
Mock Tests Under Exam Conditions
Simulate full-length tests with strict timing to build speed, accuracy, and stamina.Section-wise Weightage & Time Allocation
Reasoning: 35 questions, 35 marks
Quantitative Aptitude: 35 questions, 35 marks
English: 30 questions, 30 marks (qualifying nature)
Allocate ~20 minutes each for Reasoning and Quant, ~20 minutes for English (fine-tuning based on strengths).
Focus on High-Scoring & Moderate Topics
Prioritize topics that are frequent and doable under time pressure — e.g. puzzles, simplification, moderate algebra, arithmetic, data interpretation.Accuracy Over Speed
Avoid random guesses — each wrong answer carries a 0.25 negative mark penalty (except English)English Section
Though qualifying, don’t ignore it — get your grammar, vocabulary & comprehension in shape. Accuracy matters here since failing to cross its qualifying mark disqualifies even otherwise high scorers.Revision & Shortcut Techniques
Maintain formula sheets, practice shortcuts, and do last-minute revision of key concepts and error logs.
📝 Mains & Interview Strategy
In the Mains, apart from objective sections (Reasoning, Data Analysis, GK, Insurance & Financial Awareness), there may be descriptive English (essay / letter). Prepare with regular writing practice, reading current affairs, and sharpening analytical skills.
Focus on current affairs, banking & insurance awareness, especially topics relevant to LIC and life insurance.
Practice mock mains tests to manage sectional time and adapt to intensity.
For Interview / final round, work on communication skills, clarity, subject knowledge, and personality development.
